How long does it take to receive my photos?

For engagement and other sessions, my goal is about 2 to 3 weeks! For weddings, it could take 6 to 8 weeks to receive access to the online gallery of images, depending on how busy my season is. I aim to finish in a timely manner, but please understand that I do not outsource my editing, as I prefer doing it myself. I appreciate your kind patience. 

What is your booking deposit?

For sessions it's $175, which is applied towards the session fee. For weddings, it's 25% of the decided package price. 

Where did you go to school?

I went to the University of North Texas and received my BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in photography. I actually still reside in Denton! I love it here and don't mind traveling to Dallas often for sessions! 

How far in advance do I need to book you for my wedding?

ASAP! As soon as you get engaged. If you love my work, then you will need to make sure I'm not already booked! I hate letting down couples when telling them I'm already booked for their big day. In the past, I've even had some totally awesome clients base their wedding date around my schedule! I'm so very grateful for that. 

How far do you travel for a photo shoot?

I'm MORE than willing to travel anywhere in the world. I have this dream of photographing a wedding in every state of the USA. So far I've had the opportunity of photographing in California, New York, Maine, Arizona, Missouri, Oklahoma, Colorado. If your wedding or session is somewhere AWESOME, just let me know and I may even give you an amazing deal. ;)

What happens if I need to reschedule because of weather or other unforeseen instances?

If it looks like it's going to rain, it might be best best to reschedule. If you are unable to reschedule, we may need to have a backup location that is indoors. However, if you're not afraid to get a little wet, bring some cute rain boots and an adorable umbrella for some dreamy and romantic images in the rain. BUT if there is potential for severe weather, we will definitely need to reschedule as I do not want to risk my couples or myself! I hate tornado season y'all. 

Are photos digital or print or both?

I will begin phasing out USB's, as times are a-changing and a lot of new computers no longer have a traditional USB port. Thankfully I use an incredible online gallery service where you will have the ability to download your digitals, order prints or a canvas, design an album, etc! Let me know if you would truly prefer to ALSO have a USB (for weddings only).

How long is a typical engagement photo session?  

Could depend on how many clothing looks you bring, but they usually can last between an hour and a half to two hours, maybe even three! Time tends to fly (because they are so fun). We end when I feel like we got a lot of 'goodies'. 

How should I send the deposit for my wedding?

I will send youd invoice via a service I use called FreshBooks. There, you may choose to pay with a credit card. I also don't mind cash or Venmo. 

Have you taken any photography workshops? 

Yes and I love them! "Nothing can be learned in this world unless you have the humility to learn" - Geeta Iyengar. This is a quote that I live by! I'm always striving better my craft and myself. Education doesn't end once you graduate from college, life is a never-ending learning experience. I've attended workshops from JVS Creative, The Glow Workshop with Amanda Marie and Shalyn Nelson, and most recently, a storytelling workshop with Jonas Peterson. I'm definitely planning on attending more in the future! There are some amazing workshops out there.

Will you ever offer a workshop?

I've been asked this questions MANY times! And with all the demand I've been getting to start offering workshop, I should probably do it, huh? There are many facets in photography, so figuring out exactly WHAT to teach and WHO to cater to will take a lot of figuring out. Like, should I offer one-on-one workshops or go with a group setting? Should the class be catered to the beginner or the more advanced? Anyhow, If you're interested, send me an email and let me know what you'd be interested in learning from me.
