Just Married | John & Jessie || Intimate Floreciendo Garden wedding
It was their love for cooking and eating good food that brought them together. John cooked for Jessie on their second date, and Jessie cooked for John on their fourth. They quickly became the best of friends and their love slowly developed over time, rooted in their common interests and beliefs. There are moments when the tiniest things make you realize how much you love each other and for them, those little moments are the most important.
This wedding was published in the Spring/Summer 2015 issue of Brides of North Texas. Here is an excerpt from the magazine:
"Jessie and John embraced the unconventional and created a wedding full of sweet surprises. A milestone in their relationship came with a characteristic twist: the bride proposed to the groom! After John said "yes!" the planning began in full force, starting with a batch of homemade vanilla extract the couple brewed themselves to use for party favors. Most of the decorations were carefully and lovingly handmade. In lieu of a wedding party walking the processional, the couples family walked in pairs with their spouse or significant other, before Jessie and John walked together hand-in hand. John provided some of his home-brewed Belgian ale and food trucks provided a delicious meal and a fun activity, in addition to a ping pong table and music playing from the couple's iPod. After their one traditional element - cutting the cake - Jessie and John took their honeymoon in St. Martin."
I absolutely ADORED this wedding. It was such a peaceful and intimate day. Jessie and John, you are an amazing couple, thank you for being oh so kind to me and being a dream to photograph. Cheers!
"I enjoy how much we love to cook together. There is nothing more important to me than spending time together doing something wonderful that we both love. She challenges me and I respect her intelligence, her work ethic and her independence." - John
"I'm reminded on a daily basis how lucky I am to have John in my life. It's cliche, but I believe that to know John is to love him, and his unselfish ways and genuinely kind and thoughtful character are not too common. John truly listens to people, and provides great advice and encouragement. While I'm loud and easily excitable, John is calm, stoic and quietly affectionate, and he provides balance in my life. I have learned a lot from knowing him, and he makes me a better person. He can also be extremely goofy, and I love that I get to see this side of him more than most." - Jessie
John's best man wasn't able to make the wedding, so he provided a smaller, paper replacement version of him. Haha!
