Bookstore and Coffee Shop Bridals : Shailey
Shailey is a stunning, southern bride who knew exactly what she wanted when it came to her bridal session...which you know...makes it easier on me when it comes to photographing in locations I'm not used to, which in this case was Waco, TX. We met up at Golden's Book Exchange, a used bookstore, to incorporate Shailey's love for books. We took some pictures in the comic book section because Shailey and her fiance (now husband) are adorable nerds. We also integrated her love for Harry Potter (a girl after my own heart) after she told me that her garter was Harry Potter/Griffindor themed (just wait till my post about their wedding!). We then headed to Common Grounds, a quirky and unique locally owned coffee shop located right near Baylor University. We THEN headed to a random nature alley in Cameron Park! I love how Shailey brought a red cardigan to mix things up and add some pretty casualness to her attire. We ended the shoot at Baylor University because that is Shailey's alma mater and to make momma happy. Shailey's friend, Brittany Gutierrez did an excellent job with the hair and makeup. The dress designer is Austin Scarlett, and if that name sounds familiar to you that is because he is a talented fashion designer and artist, recognizable for his appearances on Project Runway, one of my favorite shows. Shailey had them add pockets to her dress to make it more practical and totally hers! ENJOY!
