Flourishing Love in Denton, TX: Jackie & Nathan

Nathan was stationed in Germany with the army when he met his love, Jackie. They soon married in a courthouse. They "never had a real wedding" as Jackie said, because Nathan had to leave soon for Iraq. Ten years later, Jackie contacted me to photograph them as a celebration of their love. Jackie decided to wear white for her first outfit to symbolize the wedding dress she never got to wear.

We did this on a day when there were tornado warnings and storm forcasts in North Texas. Because of that, we changed our location and time plans. We HAD to do it this day because Nathan was set to have surgery soon after! Even though I was nervous about the possible tornados, I stuck it through so I can do this for my clients. It was very overcast so we needed to shoot earlier in the day to get more natural light. We finished up just before it was set to rain. As we were walking to our cars, it began to sprinkle.

At the end of the shoot, Jackie and Nathan were so grateful and thankful that I was able to do this, they gave me hugs. ^_^ It was so sweet. Made me love what I do even more.
