Lindsay & George. Engagements.

This was the very last session of 2011 and it was a very special session for all of us.

It was New Years eve and it was probably one of the prettiest days we’ve experienced all year. The weather was perfect and there was no need for a jacket. The air was crisp and clean and the sun was lingering a little longer than usual. Lindsay wanted to do their engagement session at a place that holds a special meaning in her heart, her family’s farm. They considered this session to be the perfect date for them. After we finished, they treated me to some delicious Thai food…heck yeah!

Lindsay met George at Sonic her senior year of high school and they instantly enjoyed each others company. After George started tutoring Lindsay, she began developing a crush. He was the first guy that seemed to be able to teach Lindsay (who was sort of a smarty pants in high school…in a good way of course!!!) a thing or two. George had asked Lindsay several times to be his gal and even though she really, REALLY liked him, she turned him down knowing that she was planning to move to attend college in Oklahoma. Finally, Lindsay asked George if they could be together knowing that they were to break up when the time has come to move. Those 4 months were blissful.

After Lindsay moved, she cried, knowing that the best boyfriend she ever had was no longer hers. But after about two weeks, curious George was wondering about Lindsay. He wanted to check out her new place and hang out but just as friends. George went all the way to Oklahoma to visit her. It was then decided that it would be better to look back and know they at least gave it a try than to wonder “what if”? So they did the long distance thing for about five long years. After graduating, Lindsay got a nursing position back at home and was so excited about not being long distance anymore! Woohoo!

Lindsay never thought she actually was going to marry George. Not until he came up to Oklahoma to see her, anyway. That day he came to see her, she knew. She knew that day that she wanted to be with him forever.

Some of the vintage props were provided by Rent My Dust.

Curious to read about how George popped the question? Check out Lindsay’s post about it here!

I’m so excited to work with you as well! Can’t wait! : )

Mahan Wedding.

I had the pleasure of documenting the beautiful and loving wedding of Cody and Mallory a few months ago. From the moment I arrived and left, the sweet couple was calm and filled with joy. I had such a blast myself working for such amazing people. Cody and Mallory got married in the comfort of Mallory’s parents house. How simple is that?

The beautiful flowers were by Cottage Rose Florist.

After the ceremony, the guests headed to La Puertita chapel right next to Joe T Garcias in Ft. Worth, TX. I had the honor of riding in the party bus with the zany wedding party!

The ring is very special to Mallory because the center stone was the one her father proposed to her mother with. He passed away when Mallory was 5 years old.

The amazing cupcakes were by Sarsaparilla Sweets. The music and entertainment was provided by Singing B’s Productions.I love my clients!

Stephanie, we couldn’t be more pleased with the pictures you and your co-photographer took at our daughter, Mallory’s wedding. They are beautiful. Can’t wait for you to do Kaley’s senior pictures!

Amazing!

Jessie & Katelyn. Engagements.

Katelyn and Jessie have been together for many, many years and are so deeply in love. I barely had to direct them because they were just so comfortable and had fun with each other. It’s nice to just sit back and photograph rather than worry about directing too much! They came all the way from Houston, TX to do their session where I live in Denton, TX. We did this in the early morning in one of my favorite secret locations. : )

Veronica & Mark. Engagements.

The day of the session, rain was suspected for all day. But the sun was beginning to peek out of the clouds for a few hours. Veronica wanted for the session to take place at a venue with a lot of pumpkins to give off that festive, holiday feel, so I knew of the perfect place. Veronica and Mark are a super cute, adorable, loving couple and just oh so fun to work with! During the middle of the session it actually began to rain lightly and my camera got slightly wet, but I didn’t care! I wanted to continue photographing these two love birds…it’s just so fun photographing people who are super excited about their relationship together.

Looks like a really neat location. Love the tilt shift shots!

Gabriel & James. Engagements.

Gabriel and James are super in love. We did this session before James had to leave to be stationed in Germany. Gabriel is missing her love dearly but she will be spending precious time with him in Germany for Christmas this year. James will be back for their wedding in May. Personal stylist, Ashley Brannon, helped Gabriel figure out what to wear for their session and gave her a lot of tips and advice! Man…photographing love is just super joyous! I always leave sessions in such a good mood.
