Stephanie & Kyle. Day After.

A “Day After” session is when newlyweds do a session in their wedding getup, a day or two (or even months or years) after the actual wedding. Sometimes we do “Day After” sessions if a bride and groom don’t decide on doing a First Look and possibly end up on not getting enough time or even enough natural light on their actual wedding day to take the more intimate portraits of them right after the ceremony. Stephanie and Kyle decided on doing a “Day After” session after we ran out of natural lighting on their wedding day, which is unfortunate because their venue was so gorgeous! They got married at the Japanese Gardens in Ft. Worth, which is such a beautiful venue! During the session, it was an overcast day with no sun in sight! Working with the sun is my forte and I was a little worried if it would start raining on us. The good thing is, because of the overcast, almost gloomy looking day, nobody else was visiting the gardens so we pretty much had the place for ourselves, which I think is best for photographing a couple. When the coast is clear, the couple are more comfortable to be themselves and feel free to be intimate and romantic. Stephanie and Kyle are so, so, so in love. Kyle is a good man for Stephanie and they make each other laugh. They are amazing! I can’t wait to blog their wedding.

Is this real life? Kyle was so fond of jumping over people, I’m pretty sure that’s why he got the athletic shoes for his wedding day. :D

  • […] Stephanie and Kyle are both in the medical field and met during training at Texas Tech. Stephanie has a beautiful daughter named Ava, who got to be Stephanie’s flower girl. Not only did I get to document a loving couple begin a new life together, I got to see the start of a new family. Stephanie and Kyle sure are  a couple of quirky characters and their wedding day was full of laughter, excitement and love. AND this wedding was pretty much a DIY style wedding, which is totally awesome. You should also check out Stephanie and Kyles “Day After” session here! […]ReplyCancel
